The second phase of the Tokyo Art Jungle Greenmap Project combined the Green Map Kids Project with the Yamanote Line Green Map Project. Having already established a basis for the Tokyo maps from the initial University students' mapping projects, this time the Green Map manager, organizers and student volunteers carried out fieldwork in eight of the Yamanote Line station neighborhoods. The kids participated very enthusiastically, seeking out potential sites, asking each other, or staff members, "Which icon is suitable for this spot?" They made many important discoveries, and in the end, some of them said that they want to carry on the fieldwork by themselves! Hopefully, this Green Map project will continue to help youth find new ways of learning from and connecting with their own community's emvironment.
