Silk Road Remix Recycle Project
 
Masahiro Nakagawa is a fashion designer of "20471120" and also artist who makes his works recycling and remixing used clothes. The project "fashion remix" was aiming to involve not only the people in Tokyo, but also who live in the world. 2dk planed to have his exhibition in "BUZZ CLUB" at P.S.1/MOMA and accompanied with his‹uSilk Road Remix Recycle Trip‹vin 2002 to get the used fabrics of the people who live in there. The clothes that made from these fabrics were shown in Smithsonian Folk Festival at Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. in 2002, and at the same time, he held a fashion show in this museum. After that, he showed his result of that trip and shown the process of how the clothes given by the people are consumed as materials at "Tokyo Art jungle" in Japan. In each exhibition, he shows the various possibilities of fashion to remix from the life of Silk Road to hi-fashion.
