Ito and astronaut Mamoru Mori exhibited "Zero Gravity Sports"
featuring basketball in "BUZZ
CLUB: News from Japan" held at P.S.1 in NY. In this project,
they displayed a basketball court spreading to the wall which evoked
a basketball game at a space station and they presented a sports style
in IT generation.
Inspired by this exhibition, 2dk took up Tokyo's skateboard culture
in the exhibition "TOKYO ART JUNGLE"
with Hidenori Kondo as a co-producer. Ideal slopes, traffic signs,
stair rails and stairs... There are "No Skateboarding" signs
in the spots which skateboarders adore. We tried to re-create skateboarding
spots at Mita and Shinjuku and so on where we can't skate any more
now in "TOKYO ART JUNGLE".
